The audited release includes a separate “Delete account and cloud data” action for signed-in users. Signing out alone is not described as account deletion.
Delete a signed-in account
- Open Family Ready.
- Open Settings.
- Under Your information, choose Delete account and cloud data.
- Read the confirmation message.
- Choose Delete account and cloud data again to confirm.
- Keep the app open and connected while the request completes. If it fails, the app shows an error and does not label the deletion complete.
Delete only this device’s information
Choose Delete all information on this device in Settings and confirm. This removes Family Ready records from that device, including the encrypted local plan, offline Emergency Snapshot, encryption key, widget cache and local lifecycle events. It does not request deletion of cloud collaboration data.
What the account-deletion request is intended to remove
- Your Family Ready cloud profile.
- Any Family Ready household you own and its app collaboration data.
- Your memberships in households owned by other people.
- Family Ready information on the current device, followed by sign-out.
Leaving a household is different
If your membership is revoked or removed, you lose future authenticated access to that household. The household owner keeps their household and information. Deleting your own account is broader: it requests removal of your profile, owned household and memberships.
What may remain
- Other owners keep their own household information.
- Printed, exported, photographed or downloaded copies cannot be remotely erased.
- Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase and subscription records under their own requirements.
- Deleting the Family Ready account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
- Processor backups, logs, fraud-prevention or legal records may remain for limited periods.
- The audited source does not conclusively prove deletion of the separate Rork Auth identity record.
Timing and verification limits
The app waits for the backend deletion request before clearing local data. The current repository proves the authenticated request and local cleanup, but does not include the live database procedure body. Therefore this page does not promise instant deletion or a specific completion period, and exact database cascades and backup retention require production verification.
If deletion fails
Check your connection and try the in-app action again. If it keeps failing, email ran.gray.james@gmail.com and describe the error shown. Do not email highly sensitive medical information or recovery codes.
