Privacy and trust
You decide what to enter and what to share.
The complete plan and offline Emergency Card are stored in protected local storage. If you sign in for collaboration, selected account, plan and invitation information is sent to the Family Ready backend so permitted household members can access the sections you choose.
Shared cloud content uses authenticated access controls and HTTPS in transit. No security system can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability.

Questions, answered plainly
Family Ready FAQ
What should be on a family emergency contact card?
Who to call first and a second contact with working phone numbers, known allergies, current medications with doses as labelled, and important health conditions. Add where medication or medical devices are kept. Leave out ID numbers, bank details and passwords.
How often should a family emergency plan be reviewed?
We suggest at least every six months, and whenever a phone number, medication, school or household member changes. Family Ready lets you choose a review schedule of 3, 6 or 12 months with optional local reminders.
What does Family Ready do?
It organizes user-entered family, care and emergency information into an Emergency Card and a wider plan. It can also create selected exports, encrypted backups and permissioned household sharing.
What does it not do?
Family Ready does not monitor emergencies, provide professional advice, guarantee notification delivery or automatically contact responders.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The Emergency Card, Emergency Mode and core information saved on the device are designed to remain available offline. Collaboration, invitations, purchase checks and cloud synchronization require internet access.
Does Family Ready call emergency services?
No. Family Ready can present phone actions for contacts you entered, but you choose whether to place a call. Contact the appropriate local emergency number in an emergency.
Can I share with family or caregivers?
Family Ready Plus lets an owner invite trusted people and choose section-level permissions. Recipients can view permitted information and confirm the version they reviewed. Some roles can propose changes for the owner to review.
Does it support iPad?
Yes. The app supports iPhone and iPad. Calling features still depend on the device, carrier and available calling services.
How do I manage or cancel Plus?
Open Family Ready Settings and choose Manage subscription, or manage the subscription through Apple. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I restore a purchase?
Choose Restore Purchases in Family Ready Settings or on the subscription screen while signed in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.
How do I delete my account and data?
Signed-in users can open Settings, choose Delete account and cloud data, and confirm. Device-only information can be deleted separately. Read the Delete Account page for important limits.
How do backups work?
You can create an encrypted backup file and a separate recovery code. Keep them in separate safe locations. Restoration happens locally after the file and code are validated.
Is Family Ready a medical record?
No. Medical fields are user-entered reference information and may be incomplete or outdated. Verify important information with appropriate records and qualified professionals.
How can I get support?
The Support page includes troubleshooting steps for setup, offline access, collaboration, backups, printing and subscriptions, plus the support email address for anything else.
